recobreixen diferents \u00f2rgans, com ara la pleura en el pulm\u00f3 o el peritoneu en el tub digestiu, parlem de mesotelioma pleural o peritoneal.<\/p><p>M\u00e9s rarament, pot afectar les capes que envolten al cor (pericardi) o els testicles, produint un mesotelioma pericard\u00edac o persones que permet obtindre m\u00e9s informaci\u00f3 sobre com reacciona el cos davant determinats tractaments. Generalment, s&#8217;intenta descobrir f\u00e0rmacs que o b\u00e9 milloren l&#8217;efic\u00e0cia dels tractaments que fins ara suposen la millor opci\u00f3 terap\u00e8utica per als pacients, o b\u00e9, presenten una efic\u00e0cia similar per\u00f2 amb un perfil de toxicitat millor.<\/p><p>Si tenim en compte que quasi tots els tractaments disponibles en l&#8217;actualitat s\u00f3n el resultat d&#8217;investigacions cl\u00edniques, es fa evident la rellev\u00e0ncia dels assajos cl\u00ednics.<\/p><p>L&#8217;IVO disposa d&#8217;una unitat d&#8217;assajos cl\u00ednics per a tots els
