It is the independent body, made up of healthcare professionals and non-healthcare members, responsible for ensuring the protection of the rights, safety and well-being of subjects participating in a clinical trial<\/a> and for providing public assurance in this regard.<\/p>

Its purpose is to supervise and monitor clinical trials on an ongoing basis in order to ensure that they comply with current regulations on methodological and ethical aspects.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
