It is the second leading cause of cancer death in men between the ages of 50 and 70.\r\n\r\nNo discomfort is noticed when it first develops. However, urinary difficulties begin when there is a narrowing of the urinary tract and the bladder becomes irritated.\r\n\r\nIt can be cured if treated in the early stages, before becoming symptomatic. The IVO has an opportunistic screening program for early diagnosis of prostate cancer.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-46dbed24\" data-id=\"46dbed24\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1c781301 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1c781301\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Early detection program<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5fcbe613 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5fcbe613\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Aimed at men between the ages of 50 and 75 or with a family history of prostate cancer from the age of 40 and with a life expectancy of more than 10 years.The test consists of a simple scan such as a digital rectal exam and a conventional blood test to detect PSA. If &gt; 4ng\/ml is referred to IVO for urinalysis and culture.
